Spike Lee is back this month with a hugely relevant, angry, entertaining and timely film, BLACKKKLANSMAN, based on the incredible true story of Colorado police officer Ron Stallworth, and we’ve got a copy of his memoir to give away.
In 1970s Colorado Springs, Ron Stallworth has just become the first African-American detective in the police department. Spotting a KKK recruitment advert in the local paper, Stallworth calls them up on a whim, and arranges a meeting. Unable to meet the group himself, he enlists his colleague Flip Zimmerman and the two soon embarks on the undercover investigation of a lifetime: infiltrating the KKK.
For your chance to win a copy of Ron Stallworth’s book BLACKKKLANSMAN, send your answer to the following question – along with your name and address – to competition@broadway.org.uk:
Q: What is the name of Spike Lee’s iconic 1989 film about racial tensions in Brooklyn?
The closing date for entries is Friday 7 September. Best of luck!
Be one of the first to see the film and join us for a Special Screening of BLACKKKLANSMAN + live satellite Q&A with Spike Lee on Monday 20 August at 6.30pm.
